East Tweed

At East Tweed, along with its sister property West Tweed, guests can experience a delightful combination of modern comforts and dog friendly walks on the banks of the River Tweed and only 5 minutes’ drive from charming Melrose.

£695-950/wk | 1 Bedroom | 1 Bathroom | 2 Dogs

This spacious Lodge consists of an open plan sitting / dining room / kitchen area, separate bedroom with a King size bed and a bathroom with a large walk in shower and separate bath.

Right at the heart of the inviting open plan living area is a wood-burning stove that keeps everything nice and cosy and provides the perfect place to toast weary toes after days out exploring.  Glass sliding doors show off the lovely woodland view and the majestic River Tweed that can be seen peeking through the trees.

It is quite an experience to stretch out on the king-size bed and wake up to the beautiful scene laid out beyond the sliding doors.  Time will certainly want to be spent out on the decked seating area where the sound of birds singing in the trees adds to the soothing atmosphere that pervades here, making it great for soaking up the morning sun or lingering over an evening drink.

A dedicated path leads right down to the banks of the River Tweed where you can enjoy a picnic by the river whilst soaking up the wildlife.  There are many miles of Estate paths for you to explore whilst a wander around the walled garden is a delight.  The Estate’s tearoom then makes for a good stop off point for some restorative tea and cake afterwards.

What’s included: Bed linen and towels, electric central heating, wood-burning stove (plus logs), unlimited high speed WiFi, TV and DVD.  A maximum of 2 dogs are welcome at an additional charge.  No smoking.  East’s sister property West Tweed can also be booked for larger parties wishing to holiday together whilst maintaining an element of privacy.
